Barcelona reacts to the statement of the Spanish Federation and La Liga International sport
Al Malaeb Newspaper – FC Barcelona responded to the joint statement of the Spanish Football Federation and La Liga on the refusal to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
In a statement, the Spanish Federation and La Liga confirmed the cancellation of the registration of players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor as members of Barcelona's first team.
Although Barcelona sold a package of VIP seats at the Camp Nou stadium, which generated significant revenue for the club's coffers, this measure came too late under the regulations.
Barcelona said in an official statement to Spanish newspapers: “The club expresses its dissatisfaction with the decision and confirms that it will submit the appropriate appeal to the Supreme Council of Sport.”
Barcelona confirmed that a meeting took place today, Saturday, between president Joan Laporta, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, and he reassured them about the current situation.
This meeting prevented Laporta from participating in the protocol activities in the municipality of Barbastro and in the official lunch that preceded Barça's match tonight in the Spanish King's Cup.
Barcelona also announced that the club would make no further statements on the matter “until the matter has been resolved by the Supreme Council of Sport.”
