El Clásico awaits in the quarter-finals of the King's Cup International sport
Al Malaeb Newspaper – Real Madrid won yesterday evening, Thursday, with a score of (5-2) over Celta Vigo in the eighth finals of the Spanish King's Cup, in the stronghold of the Merengue, the stadium “Santiago Bernabeu” and the Merengue completed the contract for the qualifying matches for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Real Madrid joined Barcelona, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Leganes, Getafe, Real Sociedad and Osasuna, and therefore all qualified teams belong to the Spanish First Division, away from the surprises of qualifying other teams from the rest of the divisions.
Barcelona and Real Madrid could meet again next Wednesday, February 5, in the quarter-finals of the King's Cup, if the draw, held next Monday at 1pm Spanish time, results in the two teams facing off.
It is worth noting that the team whose ball is drawn first in the lottery will play the match at home.
The semi-final matches will be played in a home-and-away system.
If Real Madrid play Barcelona in the tie, it will be the third El Clasico in a row this season as Barcelona secured a 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of La Liga and came back to win 5-2. in the Spanish Super Cup final a few days ago in Saudi Arabia.
