Manchester United are hoping to continue their unbeaten start to 2025 when they host Brighton in the Premier League today.
The Red Devils are beginning to find form under Ruben Amorim, with an impressive draw at Liverpool followed by wins against Arsenal and Southampton.
The midweek victory over the Saints was rather lethargic until Amad Diallo’s late hat-trick however and they’ll have to be at their best against Brighton who themselves are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions.
United have been boosted by the return of Diogo Dalot from suspension but there are question marks over the availability of several other stars.
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all been linked with transfers away from Manchester this January.
The match is not on TV but you can follow our live blog for the latest score and goal updates from Old Trafford:

Decent work from Zirkzee who wins the ball and tries to tee up Fernandes but it’s cleared away.
8 mins: Man Utd 0-1 Brighton
Yet again, United concede first. Plenty of time to turn this around though.
Or concede more…
GOAL! Man Utd 0-1 Brighton (Minteh)
Disaster for United but delirium for Brighton!
A long ball goes up to Mitoma who gets in-behind far too easily. He can score himself but opts to square it to Yankuba Minteh who beats Onana.
Dream start for the Seagulls!
2 mins: Man Utd 0-0 Brighton
Early chance for Brighton as the ball is whipped in for Danny Welbeck. The ex-United star is only a few yards out but it hits his chest and goes narrowly wide.
Kick-off!
A very emotional moment at Old Trafford.
The game now gets underway. Peter Bankes is the referee.
Denis Law remembered
Bruno Fernandes and Sir Alex Ferguson are among those to lay a wreath before a minutes applause in remembrance of Denis Law.
‘He was the best Scottish player of all time. He was a fantastic player,’ the former United manager said ahead of kick-off.
‘It is an interesting thing. Why did they call him ‘The King’? They had George Best and Bobby Charlton. But they called him The King.
‘I think it is something to do with the determination and will to win he showed every time he came onto the football field.
‘He was a really competitive human being, no matter what the game, that was always there. It was a natural thing for the supporters to associate with him and their king.’
Players out the tunnel
Take Me Home, Country Roads rings out before several bagpipers lead the players out the tunnel as the tribute to Denis Law begins.

Shearer ‘unconvinced’ by United
Alan Shearer has provided his predictions for this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, telling Betfair he believes it will be honours even at Old Trafford:
‘I’m not sure Man United can afford to sit deep against Brighton at home. Brighton are a good team, albeit they’ve not had the results like they did early on, but I think they’ll go and get a draw there.
‘I think they’ll have enough to get something out of the game, because I’m not convinced United’s system will work against Brighton.’
Zirkzee escapes ban
After a difficult start, Joshua Zirkzee is beginning to find his feet in the Premier League and is in the XI ahead of the struggling Rasmus Hojlund.
But he could have been suspended for this clash after making a lewd gesture while celebrating the win over Southampton in midweek.
Thankfully for United, the forward has escaped a ban, with the FA releasing a statement on the matter yesterday:
Garnacho benched amid Napoli links
So just the two changes for United, with Rasmus Hojlund and Lisandro Martinez making way for Joshua Zirkzee and Harry Maguire.
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are all on the bench amid rumours they will leave Old Trafford in January.
The young Argentine has been linked with Napoli and Chelsea…
