Stefanos Tzimas has already dropped Premier League transfer hint amid Liverpool links

The latest Liverpool transfer news as contact has reportedly started over the signing of Stefanos Tzimas from 1. FC Nurnberg

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Stefanos Tzimas. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Reds made contact via a phone call with FC Nurnberg a few days ago and set out their intentions to buy the Greek international in the summer transfer window.

Tzimas is currently on loan at Nurnberg from PAOK, with the German club planning to activate his €18m buy option with the intention of selling him directly in the summer. Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea and other Bundesliga clubs have also been linked with a move for the 19-year-old.

However, should Tzimas move to the Premier League, then it would see him fulfil one of his childhood dreams, as just two months ago, he revealed he wants to move to the top-flight in England. Speaking to German publication BILD, he said: “I try to do my best every day and do my part to ensure a successful season. We’ll see what happens in the summer.

“I want to play in the Premier League at some point. But there is still a lot to do until then, and at the moment I am in the right place at the club for my personal development.”

Already this season the 19-year-old has eight goals in 14 league appearances. Prior to his current loan, he broke through at boyhood club PAOK and became their youngest-ever goalscorer at 17 years and one month old.
