Video: Benzema urges Lyon to eliminate Paris Saint-Germain.
Karim Benzema, the striker for Al-Ittihad Saudi Club, made sure to support his former team, Olympique Lyon, ahead of their anticipated match against Paris Saint-Germain in the cup final.
Karim Benzema, the Al-Ittihad player, appeared in a video on Olympique Lyon’s official X account, motivating the team’s players and fans ahead of their match against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday in the French Cup final.
The former Real Madrid star said, “Greetings, guys. Today, not tomorrow, with a lot of strength, ambition, and courage. Please, take them down… take them down… Tonight, we will be one family. Go for it, guys.”
It is worth noting that Benzema played for Lyon before moving to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, and then to Al-Ittihad last summer after winning 25 titles with the Spanish club.
Lyon is aiming to win the French Cup for the sixth time in their history and the first since 2012, while the capital team, Paris Saint-Germain, is looking to win the title for the 15th time.
